Païen, known as Heida in Upper Valais, is the Valais name for the Savagnin blanc grape variety. Initially grown almost exclusively in Upper Valais, particularly in Visperterminen, it is now rapidly gaining ground in French-speaking Valais thanks to its qualities and originality.
